Shifting start point on samples

Is it possible to shift the start point of a sample by?:
Looping a sample.
Then making a copy.
Changing start point while sample is still looped.
Then unlooping sample.
Is this possible? Anybody tried it? Also if this is possible it could also be used as crossfade looping? Lamp, Nym, where y'all at?
P.S. I probably should try it myself, but truthfully I'm a lazy bastard. One.

setting loop, copy, change start point, unloop? I don't see why not, but I'm not sure where you are getting crossfade out of that. Are you planning to have the 2 samples on different pads and then alternating between the two? If so, this would not leave you with a good crossfade at all, but you may be able to work something out with the attack and decay.

I personally would save that for a computer to do it quick, easy and with one sample.

Non-Destructive sample start points can be manipulated within the sequencer itself. Figure that out, get busy.

pad velocity can also be used to modulate the sample start, open window in the params amp envelope section, turn velo down and start>velo right up.. enjoy. great for re-arrangeing a lop without having to actually chop it.
