HELP ME FIND THE POCKET

Having problem locking beat in... w/track or sample.
I understand it's about timing.
I know my timing Is not that bad.
Is there a reason (I'm talking about with in the mpc) For the timing to be off other then the swing or the shift timing.
it just don't sound tight. (If you Don't understand What i'm talking about)
THAT POCKET SOUND THAT DRUMMER IS IN THE POCKET.........

if you have already checked your quantize settings and its 4/4 you should be straight. Try different samples

cut your samples tighter maybe

just takes a little practice. if you aint used to turning timing off then keep it on and use swing to get the feel you want

its all about using step edit in conjunction with stretching the sample and changing the bpm along with your EARS!
