JJ should do this if its possible

make the mpc have a standby mode where it is still running at low power and to turn it back on the pads have to hit in a certain sequence to unlock it

no it's b/c everyone thinks they're gonna make their MPC into a computer cause everyone is used to software...how hard is it to save everything your working on and shut it off...takes like 2 minutes, and that's if you got alot of ish loaded

I don't see any reason for an MPC to have a powerdown/sleep mode. Having a onff/off switch for the LCD (like the MPC 3000) would be nice though....or at least a screen saver.

jah, ur just plain reckless: what if an MPC assassin was to sneak into ur haven and try sabotaging ur work, or even worse - what if MPC ninjas come crashing thru into ur sacred workplace thru the roof and wreck ur files!?

its not funny, imagine they loaded up each and every one of ur projects and randomized every value in the whole thing, then overwrote it all!!!

Yes, very basic and not quite a feature but one of those little things I like about the 3000.

do you people really think that it's possible to cut power to certain parts of the mpc's internal hardware via software? i doubt it.

besides, even if it was possible, who wants to experience a bug where the screen gets shut off but can't be turned back on?
