I have a MAC g4 and I want to load an MP3 into my MPC2500 so I can cut it and sample it. I tried loading an MP3 and it said "song too long". Should it be renamed .MIDI or .SEQ. Do I convert MP3 into something else so the MPC can read it ??

you need to make that mp3 a wavefile since your drummachine is not really cut out to play compressed audioformats.
check your manual for answers to basicquestions like this or the vultures around here will come get you.

What type of fiels does the manual say that you can load into your machine?

Figure that out by painstakingly "opening" the manual homie..

Of course they have the manual in the Akaipro.com support section. Nobody who bought the machine with V1 software got a current manual either -- we all had to download it.

I can open a PDF file, can this guy?
