MPC Akai 1000 wont load my Akai 2000xl seq

Hey i having a lil problem with my akai
When trying to load xl files into mpc akai 1000 it tells me file too big.
what can i do to help this problem
i already sold my akai mpc 2000xl

If I'm not mistaken....the MPC 1000 can seq can only hold 100,000 events...the XL can hold 300,000. This is the only thing I can think of. Eliminating some bars from the seq may resolve the problem but you'll have to find something (perhaps another XL) to access and modify the sequence.

doesn't the 2.10 OS improve the event memory of the 1000? like bump it up to the 300,000 that the 2000xl has?

i heard something like that, not sure though.

Does Bouyon even have the jj os installed? It was never mentioned, AND this aint the jj os forum. So you can only assume that were talking akai os.

Yes i do have the jj os installed ver 4.62

in that case, you have 300,000 note capacity.

the reason why it wont load, is because its NOT COMPATIBLE!!!! it has been this way forever!!

the only way is to save as MIDI file. and not as a ALL file.
