hey guys, this is beginning to piss me off!!!
i jus got my leads to connect my turntables n i was recording etc. it all works fine.
I have a brand new 1gb flash card in there, i formatted it like someone told me to. Though, ther is never enough space to trim my samples...does it always have to use the internal memory? How can i make it use my memory card? (my internal memory is 16mb)
can someone please help cos i cant even load 2 programs cos 'thers not enough memory'

thanks pleaaase help

When u load samples and stuff from ur card, it loads it into the internal flash memory (or RAM) of ur MPC.. so if u only have 16mb ram, u can only unfortunately load 16mb of samples at a time. Its similar to a computer trying to run too many programs at once, without the ram to back it up.

Gotta get that ram upgrade

You wouldn't be pissed off if you read your manual. The uses and differences between system RAM and storage media are laid out in the opening sections.

thank u so much for the first reply. as for the second, yes, i know in the manual, where in BOLD it states the purpose for each one
but i was still confused,
so yes i DID read the manual but needed extra help.

Better get that RAM upgrade then.
Thanks

OH MY GOD THEYR SO ANNOYING...
i spend over 2 hours making my journey to the store and back..
the guy on the phones like "oh yeah we only have one left..so I cant hold it so someone may take it" As if telling me to rush over, and so i did.

Then I spoke to some guy there and he sed the guy i spoke to wasnt in (which was bullshit cos i spoke to him earlier on the fone asking bout the RAM) So i told him i spoke to him - and suddenly "oh yeah he is in today"

what tossers!!
then the guys face goes completely redder than his jumper (the guy i spoke to on the phone) and says "umm..im really sorry mate there must be a system error, we dont have it." and then he started going on (some bullshit excuse) and he's like "WE CAN GIVE YOU FREE DELIVERY"....how the HELL would that work if im going to come pick it up at the store!!!!! WHAT IDIOTS.

Anyways. Yeh. Needed to air that out!!!!

oh wow that ones so much cheaper - but am i correct that the MPC will only read 128mb of the 256? Problem is i cant pay online right now...card is messed up.

So this will work fine, the one on ebay, right?

it's the one i have in mine.

yes it only reads 128MB, that is the maximum that can be read by the MPC1000.
