Possible 4.62 bug in FIX TEMPO setting

Does this no longer work for anyone else (press WINDOW while the tempo is highligted)

It no longer fixes the tempo to all the sequences for me anymore.

After reading ur post i tried it and...

Turning on the mpc..

all my sequences are at 90 right now..

sequence one tempo field>window>fix> fix tempo = 70>do it..

Going to sequence 2.. and its still at 90.

sequence TWO tempo field>window>fix> fix tempo = 120>do it..

and now all my sequences are at 120....

NOWWWW if i do it in sequence one it will work.. definately a bug.

this works fine for me, can you explain in more detail what you are doing? does this still happen with 'empty' sequences, or do you need to record something? thanks

I thought i explained it in pretty good detail..

i had just turned on the mp with blank seqs

Right, are you sure all the sequences have been 'initialised'? ie: they read 'Sequence xx' as opposed to ''(unused)'?

when i follow your instructions, all the initialised sequences change, all the unused ones do not. once you move the cursor from the Sq field, the sequence becomes initialised, and will have its tempo fixed.

I am certain they were initialized. I will try again in the morning tho.. This isn't an issue for me however, i'm not doing any live performances, so i can take how ever long i want to change tempos :)

u can set default tempo for new sequence,
so every initalised seq will have desired tempo, bars and name
mpc remembers that setting after turnin it off

i think he wants to be able to change the tempo of all sequences in a live setting, post production style.

it is: press window with the cursor on tempo, f4 [fix] then [do it]. it's not gradual like it would be with sync, but i think that's all he wants.

ive meant fixing tempo in several seqs on the go, while sequencer is running, but i see its not the point as u said

Before I went to 4.62 you could do WINDOW on the tempo field, hit FIX and put in say, 98 tempo. After DO IT every single sequence you switch to would have this tempo.

After 4.62 this no longer worked. This is the bug, as it worked before. I already reported it to JJ

you sure all the sequences are initialised? if not, their tempos won't change.

Meaning?

I was almost positive that before 4.62 when I did fix tempo it made every single sequence in the MPC the same tempo, even empty ones. Was I imagining this? Could I have reported a non-existent bug? :oops:
