No. They make rectangular ones that work perfect. They're everywhere.

Someone suggested office max, but I couldn't find one near me. I ended up going to Staples and they had them there for $5.99. I bought one and it's perfect if you only have a couple of crates worth of records. The crates themselves are a liitle short, so the LP's stick out of the top. Basically; No stacking crates...

I got a smaller crate which is thiner sides so dont fit 12", but if u turn the crate round 90 degrees and stack the records in it like that they fit fine, u just cant fit as much longways

steel them sshtz from the back of your local grocery store. Thing is most people sleep on the fact that you gotta get the ones with the metal frame around the edges otherwise when you sack them on top of eachother they bend.

Don't buy the ones they sell at the container store, they're too small for LPs. The other crates they sell in office supply stores will break from the weight of vinyl.

I found these crates online through amazon, I gotta dig up the manufacturer, but they are industrial strength molded plastic, so they can hold the weight of 150 LPs or so. They're pricey unless you're buying in bulk. They're not as perfect of a fit as the milk crates from the 70's but they're good enough.

the ones with metal frames built in do not bend AND there free. You just have to look a lil harder behind the grocery store.

nah, definitely a jewel dropped though... its one of those little things that comes with experience, experience of having way too many records, and making way too many crate missions...
