Help posting photo to member profile or signature?

I found a photo on the net that I would like to use as the picture that comes up everytime I post something in my member area. I am damn near computer illiterate, so I would need DETAILED directions if not done for me. Let me know if your willing to hold my hand. Thanks in advance...

you need a place to host your pictures

try www.photobucket.com

Sign up for free (at least it was free when I joined!) and upload your images there

you will see a url for the picture right under it once you upload it.

copy and paste that url then goto your profile to the area that says "Link to off-site Avatar:"

paste the image url in that box and submit your profile.
