Sampling

I'm sampling into my MPC2500 and I'm having a hard time lining up my samples to loop properly. I know this is one of those things where you've got to have an ear for it, but since I'm not using FL Studio anymore it has become an issue. Could someone give me some pointers/advice on sampling? It would be muchly appreciated!

A lot of practice. I'm sure everyone always has a hard time their first time around. Just be sure your loops are are the same length as your sequences, bar-wise.

...also, be sure to record your break at the right tempo in your sequence. I always use this method to get my loops smooth. As long as you trim your break right at start and use play>mono and overlap>mono when setting up your parameters, this method usually lock the loops tight for me. Then you can experiment with tuning and other parameters to set tempo down or up etc. If you don´t know the tempo of your break you can always use the tap tempo function to guide you in the right direction. Experimenting with number of bars and tempo for when to loop can give some great results. Hope this helps you....
