freakin SICK! can't wait man, much respect. i know a TON of other people in here will find this of use - even if they say 'nah thats not how you do it blah blah' it may make them want to show others how THEY do it - and in the long run thats what this place really excels at - finding out new ways to approach beatmaking.

I mean the 60/3k and 2k forums still have new tips being posted, so I can only imagine what can be done with the JJ os.

Cheers

that's exactly what i want. i want folks to say "oh shit nym you could be saving yourself so much time if you did THIS instead of THIS"

i want critique even as i show some features off.

meant 'ass' as in 'yourself' eg: "you KNOW i'm gonna critique your scrawny self"

note to self: don't get overly defensive in public places when mentioning 'ass' or gay riddim ryder will start sniffing round.

yeah Nym, i recommend to use iMovie. it's way simpler for quick editing. keep the tutorials short and to the point and don't forget to shoot stuff a few times from different angles so you have something to cut together so as to keep it fresh!

here's my thoughts to the director:

i think all you need to do is fix the cam steady above the mpc screen. pretty much like sparq did. just jump into the good stuff, no preamble or 'know what im saying' x10000 like some of these 'tutorials'.

hopefully i speak for most people when i say you can kick off a chop video with something like synthetic substitution already loaded up - all that is needed is straight to the new chop screen, do your thing and bam.

make plenty of edits, trim the fat - we have rewind controls so if you go too fast thats ok. the worst thing is watching a slooooow ass buffering rambling stoned mess of a movie where you wasted 10 minutes of your life on something you already knew.

finally - WORD UP

i'll be using 2 cameras, one tripoded and focused on the screen, the other in the hands of a capable camera man to focus on my hands and the pads/screen.

this way we can edit them together and switch between cam. 1 and 2. kill the audio on one of them after syncing them.
