Would it be better to get the cd-m25 cdr drive installed in the mpc 2500 or just use the flash card slot and get a upgrade to 128 mb?

i've been battling between a fully maxed 2500 and a stock one and do my own upgrades and I had a thought. you really dont need the cd-drive if your planning on hooking up to a DAW. you can just sample from a cd-player and move your song onto your CPU to burn it there. are there any other advantages of having the cd-drive i'm not seeing here

You might wanna burn a quick beat for someone, and not bother with tracking it out in Protools, etc... Or, just a backup option.... I dont have one yet on mine though... not totally needed.
