help getting my 3000 working n cubase READ!!!!!!

I have a mpc 3000 and I need help intergrating it into my setup. My setup is : PC, 2GBRAM 250GB HD, M-AUDIO 1010LT, YAMAHA 10/2 MIXER, PRESONUS EUREKA, BLUE BLUEBIRD, M-AUDIO BX-8 MONITORS, CUBASE SE3, MPC 3000(maxed out ram plus scsi drive). I plan on buying a digi 003 but for right now it is what it is. I think I should get a bigger mixer and/or an audio inerface(ex. digi003, M-AUDIO PROJECTMIX, or a TASCAM FW1082). I figure I need to use the 8 outs on the 3000 to make it happen. Am i right? Which option is the correct one? Being that I'm using Cubase right now, plus I would like to track into Cubase from the 3000. I'm having a hard time figuring how to get my creations out of the 3000 to a cd or cubase. Is midi my answer? The 3000 is legendary and i wanna incorporate it. ALL COMMENTS APPRECIATED GIVE ME ALL THE BEST POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS AND SUGGESTIONS ON EQUIPMENT.
I guess I really need help connecting old tech with the new tech stuff.

Seriously though, get your midi synced with the 3000, and get as many inputs from it into your soundcard as possible. That will allow you to to individually track into cubase.

If you want a new soundcard, get one with good A/D conversion and at least 8 ins, and then focus on getting a good compressor/mic pre. There's probably not much point getting a new mixer if you're just gonna track into cubase. The Yamaha is pretty good and your money is better spent on a compressor/mic pre than another mixer. If you're really worried about your in/out situation, get a good patchbay and spend some time marking it up to make sense.

Hope that helps - you're better off to get good gear slowly than just blowing heaps of cash on tons of little things that all do similar things.

I guess my eureka and blue mic arent get purchases. So the midi will help me move the sounds into cubase thru the soundcard I have already?

What midi will do will synchronise your mp and cubase, then you simply connect the outs of your mp to your soundcards ins, arm your tracks and press record on cubase. Then all the sounds from your mp will tracked individually, allowing you to effect them with plugins. You can then export the mixed track as a .wav or mp3 to burn on a cd.

As far as soundcards go, I love my RME multiface. They're not cheap but the convertors sound great to me. The difference between my old Terratec and the RME was night and day, and I thought the Terratec was pretty good!

Well all of them are good, but I use and love the multiface. Just take a look and see what suits your budget/needs.

Or just send me the 3000 and get it going for you!

and vice versa..

turn mpc's sync on...

pressing play on cubase should the seq on the mpc

already been answered here. sync via midi clock or mtc, then track em out 3 at a time.you should learn on what you have inside out. new gear aint gonna make things easier. harder if anything.
