Okay, so ive looked over the resources made available in this forum for MCD card readers and most of the questions/answers deal with what type of card reader one should get. Thats all fine and good but doesnt deal with my particular problem.
I just ordered/recieved an internal card reader kit from MPCStuff.com. It is supposed to be factory akai stuff that should work without a problem. I got it installed properly and updated my mpc with the 1.20 OS. My problem is that when I stick my 2gb SD Flash card in the mpc says "Not Ready." It reads the device fine and the device lights up, so I know there isnt a wiring problem. The drive light does not light up when I stick the card in, but it does light up for approx. 2 seconds when I remove the card. Ive tried reformatting the card (based on suggestions given in other threads in the forum) and have had no success.
I can only come to two conclusions
1) My drive is a bum
2) For some reason or another the particular type of SD card im using doesnt work.
For the record I have tried both 1gb & 2gb SD cards with no success.
