I just got acid pro 6 this past week to try to midi my beats to a pc instead of using a hard disk recorder. I fixed up all the midi settings on Acid(so I think) but still have no output of sound thru my pc. I thought just buying a midi-usb cable would do the trick but obivously not? Is there a setting I need to change or is it the way I got it set up thru the midi?

what type of soundcard/audio interface are you using?
what are your "audio device" settings?

&just to make sure...
you know your midi cable isnt where the sound comes from right? :oops:

It's just the regular pc sound card that came with the pc. I thought that would be it with both the soundcard and midi. But even tho I got all the midi connections both set right for the mpc on Acid, it seems like I'm a need another device to make sure my sound is crossing over on my pc and that's where I'm lost?

[coor=gold]mpc audio out -> pc soundcard audio/line

This will get your audio from mpc to pc.

Then you configure acids input to your soundcard.

Download the acid manual.[/color]
