in real need of some experienced help.

i recently aquired an mpc1000. as a beatboxer i figured it would be cool to be able to sample sounds etc... i can asign sounds to different pads and its all good but i am not able to use the soundbank from my alesis QS6 midi keyboard. i want to be able to use the strings and keys etc in its massive soundbank but when i hit the keys it just plays what is on the pads from the preset programs on the mpc. am i making sense? perhaps some kind soul with some knowledge of the equipment in question could shine some light on this little problem. cheers in advance guys.

sounds like this is a job for MIDI-MAN .. so git to readin up on your midi man lol
