Drum filtering+mpc60

i tried searching for this but i didnt come up with an answer.. I was wondering what you mpc 60 peoples do for drum filtering and layering? i cant really figure out how to do...(on the 60! im no stranger to drum layering hehe )

for filtering I use the 950 or Emax, any rack sampler will give you filters though you might want to think about one of those Moog pedals...they have a lopass and a another one as well I think...*run-on sentence off*


I have no problem layering drums in the 60, sounds 1--->change to trigger another pad--->choose 2 sounds you want to layer--->go to drum mix and change the pan and mix levels and you should be set

^^^ What is that thing? I remember seeing a couple of 2000XL's with that thing attached and figured it was exclusive to the XL.

AKAI MFC42 I believe. It's a filter with some good midi stuff to connect to your MPC. I got one but don't use it. I got a s950 but don't use that either. I just don't have the room for all the stuff right now.

It is indeed an MFC 42. However, I'm not sure how good they are for the money against other things like the Electrix Filter factory, the moogerfooger pedal or the sherman filterbank. I guess you'd have to try them out...
