Wouldn't it be great if when naming samples you could use either the BAR locate arrow buttons or SHIFT+ the regular arrow buttons to jump straight to the first character or the last character of the filename?

When naming samples using the COPY/PASTE function, it's very annoying that you have to skip to the end of the sample name one character at a time just to add a number or something to the end of the name.

I know there's not much room for new features, but this couldn't take up much space at all and it would be just like using the home and end buttons on the keyboard of a computer.

I think the BAR arrows would be best.

not to have the mpc automount everytime you go to USB-mode.

I'm not sure if you can switch that off, would be leet if you could.

I'll take the silence as a sign that you all agree this would be a good feature

How helpful would it be to just press one button to skip the cursor straight to the end of the sample name so you can add a number or whatever?

Damn helpful is the answer

If they could re-add the file size display then this feature is probably pretty realistic to add, even with the whole "OS has reached it's limit" thing

i like that idea DVS. How can we make it happen? Or, how can we get JJ to make it happen?

what do you do, record a bunch of samples and then go back and name them? i wouldn't have any use for this feature. i name the samples as i go and since i name each sample after the track, each subsequent sample from that track will have an added 02 or 03 or whatever after it. but thats just how i work, i know everyone has there own way about it.
