Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Im getting back into my MPC 2000xl now that I got a jazz drive but I am having this problem that when I sample or load samples after a while they begin to have a distorted/buzz/hum sound tagged onto them?? If I shut down and reload the samples the sound is gone and its all good but after a while its right back. Wether I play it through the pads or through a seq?? Please help!!

when that happens, does your signal meter on your mixer (if you have one) jump? does it actually distort or can you really see a difference in the signal when it happens? im just thinking that it could be something with the outputs maybe? i mean, it only happens after a while not right away. so it cant be anything wrong with your sample or even the drive making your samples mess up. it has to be something maybe with the outputs or cables? of course i could be wrong but its just weird. never heard that problem before

this also happens with the mpc4000. always due to incompatible/broken memorystick
