Wow! They really do these updates fast! Well worth the thirty bucks, in fact I really can't understand why anyone would get the 1000 and not upgrade to the JJ OS. Now if I could just get my pads to work...

tempo/pitch bug 5.18

1. power source ON
2. [mode] record ---> DIGITAL
3. record ---> stop ---> keep
4. [mode] trim
5. edit
6. scroll data wheel ---> TIME STRETCH ---> TEMPO
7. cursor right ---> select Number of beat ---> MANUAL
8. Original tempo: 96.3
9. [main]
10. cursor ---> tempo ---> change tempo to 96.3
11. hold REC & PLAY START
12. record pad ---> stop ---> play start ---> sample is not at detected tempo!!!
13. stop
14. [mode] save ---> new ---> enter
15. save sample ---> do it
16. [main]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
17. power source OFF ---> power source ON
18. [mode] load
19. scroll data wheel ---> select folder made ---> do it
20. [main]
21. [mode] trim ---> hit PAD ---> sample is not in original pitch!!!
22. edit
23. scroll data wheel ---> TIME STRETCH ---> TEMPO
24. cursor right ---> select Number of beat ---> MANUAL
25. Original tempo: 96.3
26. [main]
27. cursor ---> tempo ---> change tempo to 96.3
28. hold REC & PLAY START
29. record pad ---> stop ---> play start ---> sample is at detected tempo ---> sample it is not at original pitch!!! -1.50 down in pitch!!!

***sample will play at a lower pitch than original sample source or original recorded sample -1.50 lower! This effects the tempo detect function as it will detect the sample at it's lower pitch, this causes problems if you are working with your recorded sample BEFORE saving. tempo detect will give u an incorrect tempo!***

stereo sample?

Thanks man! that was the case, didn't even think of it! guess thats what u get wen u upgrade ya OS at 4am and start trip'n out! ha!

I found a solution for the pitch bug too!
i'm using an Mbox2 with a MacBook and i have the digi outs of the Mbox going to the digi ins on my MP the thing was the Mbox settings must have been changed when i upgraded the firmware, so i found out that the settings for the Mbox were on 48K NOT 44.1K! hence the pitch dropping once saving the sample and re-loading it.
Now i dont have the pitch prob but i wonder if this is a bug:
When the MP records a sample at 48K it will play the sample back in it's original pitch (the same pitch as the sample source) but once u save the sample and reload it the pitch is incorrect (44.1K playback)?
Anyway Thanks again!
Peace!
