yea i loaded some samples, i found online, onto the mpc and they never worked, and when i looked at the load screen all the folders were in a jibberish language and said there was 999 mb in some of the folders. should i try reformatting the cf card? has any1 come across this problem? i can post a pic later.

I'd make sure the files are all 44100 16bit stereo or mono without any extra data saved in the wav file.

In Adobe Audition in the save dialog there is a check-box that says "Save extra non-audio information" make sure its not checked.

Otherwise format the card and try to copy the files again, hopefully you have them backed up somewhere.

That's good advice, just remember that unchecking that box will mean any loop points in the WAV will be lost, they're in that "non-audio data". If I do that, I make a note of the loop points, save with the box unchecked, and re-enter the loop points at the MPC1000.
