When I hook my Turntables up to my MPC the Turntables need to be grounded, yet he MPC has no ground output......do I just hook the MPC too my Mixer?

Turntable to Mixer. Mixer to MPC

You want to go to your mixer first, then you can use it to eq your samples BEFORE you sample them, for extra control over how they sound.

I'm planning on picking up a NuMark TTX1 turntable to upload my samples into an MPC 2000 XL primarily since the TTX1 has a digital out.

Will my receiver substitute for a mixer, or is a mixer a must?

Is it a must to go with IB-M208P expansion board if I want to upload samples digitally from the TTX1 turntable? How crucial is the expansion board to having good production?

Is there anything very important I should know before investing in a NuMark TTX1 turntable and MPC 2000 XL?

Thanks...

You can do that on a stanton str8-100 for about 2 bills used.

The Numarks are the shit tho,,, :)

Thanks Elmacaco...I like the Numark better than the Stanton also.

Since the TTX1 has digi output, can I go straight into an MPC 2000 XL digi input...or can I go Turntable to receiver to MPC? If not, I may have to pick up a used mixer.

It was my understanding that the dopest part about a digital out on a turntable is that a preamp and mixer isn't needed to upload samples into the MPC 2kXL...

Any other suggestions are welcome...I'm headed into NYC this weekend to get price quotes squared away and put in an order.
