just starting to sample

hello fam. i just starting to learn how to sample. im useing my dvd libary for samples. This might sound redundant but i need some of u cats to leave some tips on how to make my samples fit to the metronome. i know there are post about this this but i cant seem to find them. i have all these excellent movie quality samples and i dont now how to make them fit into a track. please leave some tips, remember im just learning, try not to use to much technical jargon...... explain like you are talkin to an 8 year old.....peace and love

Use the tap tempo and that should work. let me ask you this, do you understand time signitures? if not let me know and we will take it from there. peace

check out www.creativesampling.com it has great tips. Also in the trim page and change the end zone to beat and adjust the bpm to the number of beats in the sample to get a bpm.
