PAD muting

Howdy,
Is there any neat trick to mute individual PADS on a track, I know you can just copy multiple tracks and delete the redundant part. Perhaps there should be a "shift" function + PAD to mute?

set a qlink slider to realtime level and to that particular pad. that'd do it!
