Problem with patch phrase

I can't get patch phrase to work correctly. I tried os 2.10 and the JJ OS. I follow all the steps and get my SamplePP just fine. I then put it in a program and record it to a sequence. No problems.

But when I change the sequence tempo, the sample does not change it's speed to match the tempo like on Sparq's video. I have followed his video to a T, but the last step does not work.

Anyone else ever have this problem? Better yet, anyone have any idea what may have gone wrong?

Anyway, I am wondering if it has something to do with my sample. I sampled 4 bars of an old school song in stereo. I chopped it up into 8 regions and converted it to a patch phrase with no problems. I just can't get it to follow the temp change. Grrrr.....

Another strange thing I noticed is that I took that same patch phrase, assigned it to a pad and then turned on 16 levels of TUNING, but it didn't work like in the video below. When I hit a different pad, the sample changed speed AND pitch. It's not supposed to do that according to the following video:

your problem is that you didn't chop it small enough. patched phrase isn't some magic realtime timestretch, it merely chops the sample up and remembers the playing sequence, and then plays the chops in sequence when the pad is hit. if the chops are too large (yours are half a bar long) then it's more noticable that no timestretching is going on. try chopping smaller. or chop the 4 bar sample into individual bars, then doing those into 16 pieces. or better yet, chop the individual drums/notes up, you get a much more believable sound that way.

havent seen videos, but from what u sayin i think i know wheres ur mistake. if uve got samplepp, uve place it ina program, recorded as an event,

except tat uve chopped 4 bar sample on 8chops, so i bet it fits only at the start of every 2 bits. no?
u must make pp havin some kind of 'resolution' in mind.
i suggest u'd chop that 4 bar on 64 chops. yeah much work, to fit it perfect.
try with 1bar chopped on 16 or 8.

Before I read your explanation, I was thinking that patch phrasing was some kind of "magic realtime timestretch." LOL!!! GREAT EXPLANATION, my friend!!! Exactly what I needed.
