Right now I have my mpc 2000 hooked up to my tascam us-122 (audio interface) which connects to my cpu. I can record the mpc sounds into my tracking software w/ no trouble. My ? is, what do u recommend I can use the 8outs with. I definitely feel it will be easier as oppsed to recording track by track. Also, I'm not trying to pay an arm and leg. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

A mixer and some effects would be cool.

I understand that. I already have fx in my tracking software. With my tascam us-122 it basically gives me 2 seperate line in jacks, so I have my synth in one and mpc in the other. But I want to have enough ins for the 8outs instead. So I can individually record each track at the same time. I could solo each individual track now, if necessary, but that would take too long. I'm just not sure if my cpu will recognize the mixers individual lines. So (maybe more specific) can anyone recommend something like my tascam w/ more line ins (except for the higher tascam models) that connects to pc via usb? Thanks

Well, you have and 8 in and 8 out audio card....does it have sp/dif or adat ins and outs as well. I have a Digi 002 and I can get 18 ins and outs by getting the appropriate converters. If you are using digital performer or logic you can get another interface and chain as many of them as you want together, or you can sync a ADAT to your computer and run an ethernet line so you can swap info back and forth for editing.
