MPC2000xl, midi clock and strange bpm readings

can any one please help me to sync my MPC2000xl with Logic 6. The MPC needs to be the master (for my live situation), so the easiest thing should be to use midi clock. Logic receives the midi clock and the sequence starts. However the BPM readout inside logic fluctuates between 100 and 150 bpm albeit very fast. So the playback of audio inside logic is very slightly out. Has anyone else noticed the inconsitent bpm of the MPC? I suppose its what gives the machine its "feel" but consequently makes it impossibloe to sync with.

I appreciate the suggestion but this doesn't work either. When any sequencer is set as the master the bpm is dictated from the master. The other sequencers bpm is irrelevant. If you sync something to the mpc as the slave, you will see that in the bpm field it says something like (EXT) I assume this means external. I've spent hours on the problem. Can you recreate the situation? (syncing the MPC (master) with any external sequencer and monitoring the bpm) ??
