latest os?

i never updated my os for my 2000xl, wut changes did they make since they dont explain on the akai site?

They explained the main change.
1.14 for floppy/zip drives. 1.20 for card readers only.
There are no changes in sound editing options and stuff like that.

wut about layering sounds? can u layer 4 sounds per pad like the newer mpc's or is it still the same to hav it trigger other pads at the same time?

so other than that though, nothing really changed? wut was the whole point for the update?

i got a question for you guy's i' just got this MPC2000 from one of my friends and it wont boot up from the disK it reads"DISK READ ERROR" can someone give me copy of the basic factory OS or something similar
it would be i highly appreciated.

no its my friends but he dont know how to use . i told him he needs the OS
to make it work rigt?

i got the 2kxl so i'm not sure the difference in the two machines i just turn mine on and the Os is on HOW can i get this to work.?

Why do people keep saying this. It's misleading, I have 1.14 on 2kxl with an MCD drive and it works fine.

you people are missing the whole point of my question- wut improvements did they make with the latest os for the 2000xl? simple question nobody is answering, im not comparing the mcd to the other formatted ones, im just asking wut improvements did they make caus im wondering if i should waste my time downloading it.

litterly nothing changed. 1.20 just lets your cards be red from the computer to the mp. From what ive seen

And on top of that it has dropped the possibility to partition a disk when formatting it. Which sux.
