sampling ??

im fairly new to sampling i mostly make original beats but i want to try and sync some acapellaas to some of my tracks,or some kanye type maybe sped up samples to beats anyway using the 2500 whats the best way to get a samples bpm then match the tempo to your tracks?.

I would say listen the original track (with the beat and everything), and use the tap tempo on the 2500 to get the right tempo. Once you know the tempo of the original song, then you work from there.

I think people mess up when they forgo the step to actually find out what tempo the original track is, then you have acapellas that fall off beat and sound all twisted and shit.

as for the sped-up sample style (the method which has been beat to death by now) tune up the pitch of the sample in the params.

dont forget chop shop. i know that you are chopping vocals but you may end up with some interesting results - if you are speeding up.

ok thx for info but i have one last question on this subject,now when i go to time strech and i do manual how do you get the tsig 1/4 and number of beats from your sample:8 thats what my mpc is set too normally ?
