I have been able to find some usefull info on these boards
but finally i have to post my own thread here.

I have been able to connect my mpc to my pc thru usb ok.
i have even transfered individual samples from mpc to pc.

how do i transfer the sequence? or the loop of the sequence?

i wanna make a drum beat and dump it into acid or sonar as a loop
any suggestions? besides recording it live.

U can reample your sequence and turn it into a .wav file. U pretty much go into the SAMPLE screen and set it from RECORD IN to MAIN and hit play and it should start recording resampling that sequence.

I couldn't quite get that last part - when I look on the CF Card under windows explorer, I can choose a .SEQ file or a ALL file or a PGM file. How can I throw my song onto my PC as a .wav file so I can listen to it and use it any way I want?

you have to record your "loop" as a new sample.than program it to a pad.I reccomend naming it something so you can recognize it.

when you connect to your pc the mpc will basilcly be on there as an E drive (external). just open that up (in my computer) and you'll see all your files

at that point you just drag the files into whatever folder you want them.
the new recording should be in there......but im not sure if its a wav. at that point but im able to dump it into any program in my pc at that point so i think so.

ok peace
