I thought I remember reading a thread here about this before. I already have an MP 1000 with JJOS but one in our other studio had to get returned to its owner and I'm sitting on a Moog Little Phatty with $1019 of store credit upon a return to Guitar Center.

I need a precedent so I know what to shoot for at GC. Anyone get theirs on the super low? I wonder what the cost is. My goal is to return the Little Phatty (I just dont NEED A monophonic synth right now) and get a new 1000 and a Fantom SRX expansion card for $1019.

Possible? :)

Shouldn't you be calling around to "actual" Guitar Centers to get "actual" quotes, comparing them and maybe go for the lowest price or see if you can price match at your nearest location? Just a thought.

look into ebay.

look for ones with busted pads/bad buttons/bad data wheel
that will make folks desperate and they will sell them for cheap.

also ask guitar center if they have any with broken pads. i've heard of GC letting them go for 350 w/ broken pads...

Bought mine from there last month. It all depends on what else you get. I bought the 1000 with KRK Rokit 5's (took them back for 6's) and I ended up paying exactly $960 for the MPC. I could have bought it used but just paid the extra money to get it brand new. Applied for the the credit card (3 months same as cash on the first purchase) and took it home without paying for a thing......This probally read like a commerical for Guitar Center but that was my expirence.
