Yo, I was wanting some advice on a good turntable to sample my records with. Now that school is over I cannot use the radio stations turntables so I need to buy my own. I already have a mixer cus I have been djing with the cdj-1000s for a while now. Thanks

If just for samplin anything will do, i use an old technics (not dj one) to sample off, but u could use anything.. cheap numark, maybe a portable (numark or vestax), even see what u could find in thrift stores etc..

Then just get a turntable pre amp (cheaper option then dj mixer) unless u have a pre u could use already (maybe built into a mixer?)

I'd go with the Numark pt01. Its got a built in speaker, portable, got its own needle. It runs on batterys and its portable so you could take it diggin with you.

as youve got a mixer id get a direct drive table then you could have a bash at scratching your wax too

if that dont appeal just get one with a decent sound and a cheap to replace stylus

since all you plan to do is sample records, i'd suggest getting a portable table to bring with you when diggin.. like someone stated above, the numark pt01 or even the vestax handytrax. good luck man

Dilla extracted all the samples for the Donuts album with his Numark PT-01...so that should be a good buy for you.

It's portable and works on 6 D-size batteries, which is perfect for your digging adventures, but you can also plug it into a wall for endless hours of fun. It also has RCA outputs, which means that you could have the turntables running to your speakers.
