you mean ram or hard drives? either way, i don't think it matters. folks report this sht constantly, regardless of installed hardware. and go figure, no response from akai.
I mean both. But ok, to be honest, as soon as there's only one with the recommended hardware having this same problem, that speaks against being that the reason. Is there anyone out there?
And I think the few people reporting it here are only a small fraction of all 1000/2500 users. I don't read the 1000 forum, but here...it's maybe a dozen people. Doesn't say how many units really have this problem. And if only a few customers actually report it (and I don't mean ranting in some forums), of course Akai won't do anything about it, because it doesn't pay off.
What Akai maybe forgets is that by networking over the internet nowadays, a bad reputation spreads much faster than it used to, because the customer is no longer an "independent unit", but interacts with other customers much more. So one user having a problem affects the opinion of a lot of others, customers or potential customers, and not only that single user.
