i got the first version of the mpc 1000,my pads are slowly going can anyone help me in replacing them?,i found someone in dee why said he'd replace all mu pads,but he was going to cost me 100$ an hour for services...so im like **** dat has anyone replaced these pads themselves before?esp if ya live in sydney maybe we can hook up.

hm well i dunno where to get them replaced but if u do tell us =D i live in syd too and im about to buy the mpc this week hopefully

i'm pretty sure the electric factory in melbourne have become the official
(and thus the only) importer for 'genuine akai parts'.

that was what i last heard anyway, about a year ago. i had a little trouble
dealing with em, just cos they are exclusive stockers/repairers for a few
other big brands (and all sub-brands that fall under those umbrellas) which
means that they are TOTALLY inundated with work and take ages to get
their shyt together.
