whats the big advantage over a 1000

got a 1000 and wanted to know...im lookin to upgrade eventually

I also thougt about buying a 1000 first. (New it from a friend) But I am glad that I waited longer for taking the 2500. It´s so much better in many points.

i did exact same thing. i remember havn jus enuff cash for a 1000, and my mate had jus bought his 1st mp(1000) and seeing that i was the one that tld him bout mp's, plus him actin so kool cuz he had one and i hadnt, i jus wanted to go straight and buy a 1k. then my mate, who introduced me to mp's told me to wait and save jus that tad bit longer, and the 2500 will drop. so i did wait, and copd the 25k the first week it dropd. words cant describe how grateful i was for my mate(truhed) for makin me hold out that lil bit longer. now??? my mpc is going strong, and my mate wid the 1k has his pads fukn up on him. already three of his pads dont work no more. and thats to say the least. sure enough, u can still make gold on the 1k, ive made hella dope beats on his, but once uve played on an 25, ther is no going bak. most important is the feel, compared to the 25, the 1k seems like a cheap toy. plus i might add it looks like one to. with jj adding the most important features like shift timing and such to the 1k os, it has improved the machine a massive amount, but still, in my opion, the 1k has nothing on the 2500

The biggest advantage of the MPC 2500 is that it's not an MPC 1000.
