i live in orange county but i need to know some digging spots in L.A. ive been to amoeba and thats pretty much it. an suggestions would be much appreciated.

soundsation is right by my house most of their shit is like 2-3 bucks a record

fatbeats-LA, stacks vinyl-cerritos ... hit those places up and ask dude workin there whats up. What kinda records you going for? Ill be able to tell you where to go diggin it up. Man i miss diggin in LA / Orange county.

There's this thing called the Greater Orange County Record Show that happens once a month, and this is the place to be if you're looking for vinyl.

This show is comprised of about 50 collectors who have vinyl that would flip your lid. The amazing thing is that their collections are deep to the point where you're hard pressed to not find something that piques your interest at this show. The illest portion of this is the Japanese collector who sits on the stage and has the rare, uber-hard-to-find import records IN THEIR ORIGINAL PACKAGING.

This show is a definite must-see. The next show is June 24th.

Believe it or not, L.A. is great for digging because there are lots of little spots that have records that will catch you by pleasant surprise. Personally, I could dig at Amoeba only and be eternally happy, finding new stuff to chop up and make gems with.

I think the question is whether you're looking for a place with a lot of vinyl or looking for a place with particularly hard-to-find records. Amoeba has what seems like an endless supply of vinyl. Short of this place, I'm not quite sure if there's anything else similar in the area that has that vast of a selection.

If you live in the OC there’s Vinyl Solution on Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach. I’ve actually found some stuff there for a buck that I saw for like 10-14 at amoeba.

Bionic Records in Cerritos has a few gems.

Noise Noise Noise used to be open by Orange Coast College but it closed down a while ago.

I still prefer to cruise up to amoeba or drive to a place in San Diego called off the record.

Oh yeah Dr. FreeClouds in Fountain Valley has a decent selection of used rock jazz disco etc…
