I have the option to buy a MPC2000 (not the XL version) with all upgrades (8-output/memory/digital out card). Includes zip drive and disks for $700. Or, MPC1000 w/ no upgrades for the same price.

I like the computer option on the MPC1000 but I also had the original 2000 when it came out and sold a few years later. Unsure what to do but anxious to get back into the game!

Thanks!!

Thanks for the reply.

What I'm trying to find out is if there are more features on the MPC1K vs. the original MPC2000. I looked at the comparison charts and had a hard time figuring what the difference is other than obvious needs for zip drives. Will I get all the same features on a MPC1000 that I would get on a fully upgraded original MPC2000?

with the JJos you could probably or you will get more features if u get the 1000.

the question is, is it really needed for you and what you are trying to do? thats what u need to ask yourself.

hope you find what u need.

i have the 1k and just got a 2000xl...but ive been working on a friends 2000xl for a while. i like it alot better than the 1k, but i havent tried the jj os. i think the swing functions just work better on the 2000xl...i just seem to get the drums to do what i want them to do quicker on the 2kxl...i know there's people that will argue with me about it around here though so i guess you need to try them both for yourself...
