Updates for JJ OS often= Impressive

I love that they are constantly fixing bugs and adding advances to the JJ OS! I just downloaded a copy and bought a password about a week and a half ago, and there have already been two updates. I really don't see why anyone who has the 1k would not get this major update. Have you ever seen any of the major companies react to bug problems like this? Deffinately the most $30 has ever done for my studio... Peace.

But there will be no more significant advancements...and the only thing you will continue to get is bug fixes (hate to give the bad news)....

did the 2500 have to TRIM DOWN FEATURES like the 1k did?

The MPC 2500 hasn't had to trim down features like the 1000..at least not yet.

As far as me chiming in on the same issues...I pretty much keep it to thank you threads like this...1 thousand and counting However this time, I just wanted to inform dude that there will be no more advancements because it seemed he thought more was coming..nope..only bug fixes. Now, I paid $30 like everybody else. Are you saying I can't demand that my $30 go towards a completed OS?

Show me one worthwhile operating system, one worthwhile piece of software that is completely bug free or that doesn't require updates or fixes.

If you seriously expect to get a completely perfect piece of software you are as seriously deluded as others have already made you out to be.

I'm sure you love the sound of your own voice, but over here, it's getting extremely dull and repetitive. Save your energy for something a bit more worthwhile. If you knew the true story about JJ and his OS, you'd laugh your tits off and STFU Sadly, NDA's prevent me sharing that with you.

I am content with my 30$ spent, so is everyone else i think. And to give the 2500 users a bad time too, i dont think the memory for the os is bigger than the 1k´s, why should it if the rest of the hardware is the same? Still hoping for you though that the double price wont be pointless here...

That's easy.....as long as we are talking about MPCs...the MPC 2000, 2000XL, and 3000 have more stable operating systems. Not from what I heard in an internet forum, but from actual use.

But why do you care what I think or write I don't think it makes you lose any sleep or that it takes food off of your plate..unless you work for JJ.

You don't think? Or you know this to be a fact? JJ wrote that the memory for the 1000 is 960 KB but only 896 can be written to....JJ made no such comment about the 2500 whose operating system is already at 950KB.

And no...I don't give 2500 or 1000 users a hard time..I am specifically talking about JJ and their failure to produce an OS that has a bunch of bugs..just like Akai has yet to produce an MPC 1000 whose pads don't break down. We are on the same team and have the same goal

just a possibility, nothing to plan on yet

More Stable ? Yes. Depends on what exactly you are comparing it to. Bug free or would benefit from updates ? Nope.

Do I have to pay $30 to get updates?

"Can't we all just get along?" Looks like I opened up a can of worms. I guess I just wanted to point out that its good to know that whoever makes the JJ OS, is taking the time to fix the bugs in their program with a quickness not usually seen by the major companies. Personally, I am amazed with the advances this OS has to offer. Its almost like advancing the 1k to a 2.25k for thirty bucks. (This may not be exact as I've never used any other MPC's.) I've also just started using the 1k that I got off of ebay, so I still have a lot of features that I have yet to discover. I do love the grid editing though, and think it may take over how I sequence. I'm also excited to learn how to use the famous "swing" effectively.
CHECK THIS OUT: Akai have yet to fix the filing bug.

Updates are free if the password has ever been put into your machine. If you have the version 4 or above and can save without a password, your in there. Also, once the password has been put in, you never need it again.

Statements like that are why I still believe Nym IS JJ.
