difference between 2000 and 2000xl

was just wondering peoples opinion on this issue...is there much difference in the feel of these machines? are there any major features that make the 2000 not worth it? sorry this has probs been discussed before but i cant find any threads.....thx all.

2000 has no pad banks

That's not correct. The 2k has 4 pad banks also, but only 1 button for switching pad banks. The 2kXL has 4 separate buttons for each bank.

But check the forum for comparing MPCs. I know Nicole posted a real thorough message (or link) to the differences between the two.

Personally, I would say if you can swing the 2kXLm get that instead of the 2K. There are a few differences that if I knew about them before getting my 2K, I would have got a 2kXL instead. Right now its not worth buying another MPC to me to get those features though. When I feel like my 2K is stifling my workflow or creativity, then I'll get something different.

it depends what you need it to do for you. What other gear are you going to used?
