cool edit question

i have cool edit 2.0, i cant seem to get any audio that im runnin to my mixer to to the program. do i have to turn something on in the software?overall how to i get it to regiter audio im tring to send to it to record? matter of fact i got the same problem with fruity loops studio. i have magix studio and it gets audio fine.

Go to Options>Settings>Devices>make sure your audio card is selected in the playback and record menu.
