What kind of bug was that? I've had some trouble recently using q-link data but couldn't pinpoint the problem.

I had the real time level data of pad A6 affect the volume of pad A5. And I had no q-link data whatsoever for pad 5.
I re-recorded the q-links and since then I've had no more trouble (in 4.65).
But I can't reproduce it, so I can't tell if it has been fixed in 4.66.

Whatever...

I cant get to program/move/copy/paste etc when in "16 pad" in grid mode. It only works when in "6 pad". What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

C.

Nothing, thats the way it works.

If you want to see more notes, switch the track to midi and edit.

Oh my bad, copy and paste works with 16pad mode (dont use that too often).

USe Tap tempo + Jogwhell to select, make sure overdub is on, then you have the copy option (f3). Hold shift for paste (f5)

I mean that Im only able to edit (move/copy/paste/velocity etc) PAD 1-6 in grid mode. That kind of sucks if that is the case... Let me know if you know any ways around it.
Thanks,

C.

I wish he'd fix what i still consider to be a bug...

I want to be able to adjust both the MIXER levels and actual SAMPLE levels from within GPE... i know you can adjust the sample levels from within the GPE page by pressing window over the pad number on the 1st GPE page, but i want to be able to do this for all the pads at once like you can for every other parameter on the GPE page

to me, it seems kind of weird that this was left out...esp since akai's os already allowed us to adjust the mixer levels of multiple pads at once

yeah this is something i'd like as well. we've discussed this. i think it's possible since it's not a new feature, more just a porting of the "WhoLE" function to more than just the first layer of each pad.

imagine being able to set velocity layers for your entire pgm at once rather than one at a time. since i keep most all my samples on bank A, i use velocity layers triggered by qlink ALL THE TIME. this is a time consuming process, but one that i do often because it is useful not to have to switch pad banks while in grid edit.

it's just convenience, though. i can do it as is, it just takes a few minutes. nothing that i'm bitter about by any means.
