Not sure to be honest but this is the first time its ever happend to me...

of made a few different sequences with 5 deiffernt prgms

now the first 4 programs that i made dont play when i hit the pads???? but they play when the sewuence is played (the tracks i already recorded)

if i go to a track with say the drums on it then try to play more drums with the pads.. the drum track stops as if of muted the track an dosent start until i stop the mp then start it again... No idea how this happend though but the most recent program i made still works fine werid so theres nothing wrong with my pads - of tried copying the program to see if that made a diff but no good..tried copying the track and changing program but no good - of just installed 4.66 as i thought it might of been a 4.65 bug but its doing it with that aswell

any ideas

Did you reset the MPC after upgrading?

Hold "Erase" and turn on the MPC (keep holding erase until it's finished booting - you'll probably notice the LCD contrast is changed after the reset is done).

nice one rinse - anyone else wanna have a look go ahead its weird - hey if you get the samples to work you got a few programs for nothing lol

its sequene 11 - that you need to look at

first play the sequence
then
track 1 - program 1 (drums) - press any pads the drums just stop ?!?
track 2 - program 3 (flute) - press pads the same happens
same withe trak 3 ( program 2 strings)
same with track 4 - track 5
its programs 01, 2 and 3 that are the problem - prgram 4 works fine

i don't think its a bug... but check your voice monitor because it says your at 32 remember stereo samples have two voices and efxs also have two voices each

i noticed that too i cant see it either but i can see his comment when you reply?

i thought it was kinda obvious in the end to be honest i was editing levels with the q link a i felt stupid lol  but nah your right ill try n pass on what i got from it then

n its basicaly

the observation of made anyway... tell me if om wrong..

1. the recorded q link data goes to whatever track your on at the time
2. Slider mode shows the parameter the sliders are CURRENTLY effecting - if you go off this page and leave q link 1 effecting level on your drums program for example after or before you have recorded somthing and then move on onto new track making new programs and even new sequences making new programs... Q link will always be effecting level on that "Drums" program until you eithr
(a) change what parameter (to tune or somthing) is being effected on that program or
(b) turn the q link to OFF rather than note on, real time or midi cc

so what must have happend with me was i come off my drums program maybee edited a sample using my q link1, left it at the bottom (zero posistion in my case) and then because i had been using q link1 to effect level on 4 of my programs...all 4 of those programs would not play when i hit the pads

im kinda glad this happend now i understand whats going on with q links n whts recording where etc
