I think I remember reading around many times that mono is all you get with that. You'll have to search, I've seen it mentioned many times but can't remember exactly.

from what Ive read in here, JJ keeps it stereo. it's one of the main factors that has me considering a switch. The thing that has me hesitating is the tempo tap issue.

we really need to be able to put a Bullsh*t stamp on things around here so that bad info dosen't spread.

There is no tap tempo problem other than it changes so that you have the ability to turn on or off. On most machines it defaults to off, so you have to turn it back to on.

Auto choppoing has 2 sides or functions that it performs, one is creating slices the other is creating a patch phrase.
Slices can be stereo, patch phrase will be mono.

There is nothing so dramamtic about the JJ OS that someone familiar with the MPC can't load it evaluate it, like then buy it or just re-install the Akai OS.
Also there is no real reason to try the v3.xx, you should try v5.xx it's a big difference.
The v3.xx is much better than the Akai 1.22 but it still is no where near v5.xx.

Lamp it was just a general statement not about someone's particular statement.
Just things get kinda confusing on the net.

I understand. I was just trying to remember where I read exactly what you were saying about slice and chop but I couldn't remember the thread it was in. It was mentioned somewhere. But your right, people can try these things out for themselves though. Most stuff people have right there in their hands and still ask instead of trying it out though.
