Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hi guys...
Got a Q.

When I try to sample on the MPC2000XL, Sumptin Weird is going on.
When I start to record. and press stop afterwords. And I want to cut or do whatever with the sample in the Trimscreen. I dont see the sample in a soundform. So I dont know where to cut, the sample. It's just a straight line what I see. When I pick a wavefile, there's no problem. It's only when I try to take a sample.
Last week I redecorated my studio. and pulled sum plugs outta my Phonic Helix Soundboard 12 Mixer. Don't know how to put it again correctly. I have the Record In Jacks to the Main on my mixer and the record out to Mono. Now it's also the case that when I try to record and wanna set the sound, The Sound is Boostin up so loud!! Shit is crazy. It's like a eeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sound!!! Scares the hell outta ya!! When ya ain't got the settings straight. Whatsup with dat?

Can u guys help me out??

You have to give more details on your setup, especially about mpc. You need to be more precise...

Alright... here it is...
Ive got myself a MPC2000xl hooked up to a Phonic helix usb mixer.
also on the mixer is hooked up my Turntable. Also got a KORGX5D synthesizer keyboard also hooked up to the mixer. Cant forget my KRK8 Monitors. Also hooked to the mixer.
nothing wrong with hearing the sound out of my keyboard, or the beat thats playin. that's ok. It's just when i'm recording. Seems that the sound level is not ok. u hear like a echo type of thing. When I play my record on the turntable, the sound aint even good, it's so low. I have to turn my mixer setting for the sound all open. But when I do that, and i already got a beat playin, that shit is way to loud!! when i just play a beat, and had the sample recorded set to a pad, it's so low, you cant even hear it through the beat.
Do u need sum more info. holla son?

u hear like a echo type of thing.

Remember to switch the Monitoring to OFF while in the recording screen of the mpc. Seems like you have a feedback.
Also, when you do that, try adjusting the level while in recording screen of mpc. It should go all the way to the right side without clipping, leave some space on the right side, just a few 'bricks'.

That happens when there is no audio there.
You thought you were sampling but you actually sampled "nothing".
