the realtime pitchshift - to me seems a waste of time and CPU.
i use the current filter on the input a lot - but i can't automate it using an LFO - i'd like to see

1. selectable LPF/BPF/HP/LPF2 filters on both the left & right inputs
2. both filters have a dedicated LFO each.
3. And control of the filters using the q-links as well.

now this would be powerful - this would allow you to modulate both filters seperatly giving you a great stereo filtering effect.

I read something about this earlier, is this something that was available in the Akai OS? I have to say I would love this, but I would hate to give up realtime pitch shift. I guess I could use an old JJ OS...

co sign (not really for lfos) just disable pitch shift and give filter q link control back...

please :D

think what you can do with two LFOs modulating the filters - you could not do this with Q link by hand. and maybe the LFOs could be assigned to the Q links. you would have some great filter cross mod s**t happenin.

i think it was the old OS you used to be able to change the input filter using Q link - but it never had any LFO. but don't quote me :)

maybe the pitchshift could be kept - as it doe's not take up CPU while it's off. all depends on if there is enough room in flash ram . if not, i'd vote for it to go. to make room for the Filters LFOs and Q links assign.
in the input page you could have type: in both the left & right boxs then you select which you want LPF/BPF/HP/LPF2 or Pitchshift.

i dunno.

i was geeking around the other day with my keyboard synth on a totally sweet organ solo or whatever and i sent pitch shift info to the mpc on accident and it warped some drums out and it was sick (at least I thought it was). that was a happy accident, causing spontaneous hand-fanning throughout the township...

Hi Bobby - i agree you can get some wacky things from the pitchshift.
and i do like it. but you can't use it while playing the mpc.
if it could be kept as it is so you can switch it off = fine.
but if it were a choice of having a filter/s with LFO/s and assigned to the Q link sliders - that could be used while playing the mpc.
i would sacrifice the pitchshift any day - most out board muti effects can do pitch shift theses days.
realtime pitch shift that can't be used while the mpc is playing is not exactly real time.
there is finite amount of space left in the 1000s flash ram lets use it to it's full extent.

Cheers

yeah, realtime pitchshift is fun, and i wouldn't wanna scrap it.
i had some circuit-bent gear running through the inputs and it was insane.
so i gotta try out the circuit-bent TR-626 tonight with it, since i'm using it in my next track i'm producing. :)
