Mine would be in the case of the 60, 8 individual outs like on the 2000

haha! what!? yeah I wish my 60 had 8 individual outs like the 2K also, that'd be dope...if it was 12 bit that'd be neat as well

another nifty feature would be if the 60 was made out of cheap ass plastic and Kanye used one

I wish mine had 16 pads

A mute-off the last sample when hitting another sample mode! (the 2500 has this, right?) That would make it easier when you have 16 chops you want to stop eachother playing. Then you could make endless combos without using all the MPCs pads.

On the 3.1 os there is something like that. You can set each pad to cut off 2 others. A global parameter like that would be pretty nice tho.

2 others is sometimes too little. I would love a mute-mode. You would save a lot of time on that.

A track mute screen like the one found on the MPC200XL and newer MPC's

It already has a low-pass filter
in fact that's the only filter it has

"What would you want most on a 60/3000"

The 60 Does not have filters. Right?

Would be nice if and when i'm in the sample screen, that i would be able to still hear da pads...

Then i could resample my drum layers with all my eq from my desk 1 time, instead of going to my external CD recorder and coming back in!!!

K......

Firewire, so I could connect any harddisk.

Phono input! With the world's best phonopreamp built in.

And ADAT digital 8 outs (or whatever it's called). Then I wouldn't have to get a soundcard with many analog in's.

Built in analog synth with deep good bass, or just a built in Pino Palladino.

Brighter display on the 3000, with black text on white background.

8 assignable sliders for individual output volume, or you could assign it to 8 different samples. (Or 16, or 32, or 64, with different "banks".) By just hitting a pad the bank woul be the right one for the sliders.

And a way to choose a pad with a sample assigned to it without triggering it when pushing it. A "mute shift" button could do this.

And I would like the MPC to save Master BPM with the ALL file, like the 2KXL does. I don't like saving and loading the PAR file.

Built in assignable tubes on all outputs!

Rohan, could you make this work with the note variation slider? Use it to set either adjust a samples volume, or an outputs volume, by pressing f.ex. shift+moving note variation slider?

Rohan, could the HELP key get this feature with the next OS, since its out of function now?

You maybe don't have room for the code in the chips, but it would be dope!

I wish they would sell the copy rights to a good company who could re issue the mpc 60/3000/ and sp 1200,
I'm pretty sure you can use substitute parts to re-manufacture the old boys, well for some parts at least  and all I would want, would be a color screen with helly pixel count and a usb port, holla at me

My 60 has 8 outs as well as stereo. I thought that was standard..

I wouldn't really change the 60 in any way. It would be good if you could sample for longer tho. I like working with the limitations and finding other ways to achieve things like filters and so on, that you get on other samplers. LESS is MORE

id like the pads to switch tracks like the 2kxl..

the 60 is dope for the simplicity of it, its very zen. its not about what you add to it its what you take away. fresh sam;ples w/ some preproduction(maybe.) and proper sequencing teq is all that is really needed. i wouldnt really change it. all the updates that akai has tried since (except for the 3k iguess) are for fanboys who buy shit based on the guitar center slaesmans say-so..now dont get huffy because really anyone can use anything to make nice beats im just saying i had filters and effecgts key boards and racks and eventually i got rid of it all just to rock the 60..im not claiming to be dr. heatermakens but the 60 is the king of the heap(IMO of course!) for what it is not what it could be..
