Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Once again i have to start off by saying Ive read and searched the forum so I have a little bit of info to start with. So heres the question.y when i samples i cant see the wave sampels but it not good enough from me to edit on it and i put the rec button all the way up on the mpc and my mixer and i still get a bad wave......need some help[/b]

Look at your level in the sample screen, this is what tells you the volume of your sample and the height of your wave form. The right edge of the screen is where the sound will max out. To achieve the highest volume possible, you want the black bars to get as close to that right dge as possible without going past it. Use the gain knob(light orange) to add some volume to the sample but I wouldn't recommend turning it up more than 3/4 of the way. If you do all these steps and your samples are still quiet there is something wrong with your setup. Does your turntable output a phono signal? If so, are you using a reciever or dj mixer with phono inputs?
