Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

So, I just posted that I got a 2000XL. I had the 2500 basically mastered. I have a question. On the 2500, I was able to make an entire program mono. It seems as if on the 2000XL, I can only make a pad mono 2 other pads. Not the entire program. Please tell me I'm wrong...

Thanks

Really? So if you have an entire program full of chops, you can only make a couple pads mute eachother? Not the entire program? AHHHHH!!! That right there will make me want to sell this thing. Is there any work around?

nice feature the 2500 got.....didn't know that!

I usually play around with the chops setting them to note off so they don't overlap, and when I know how I arrange them I switch back to mono and set the mutes. if you want a sample to mute more than 2 other samples, simply assign the sampe sample to another pad and you can mute two more samples

welcome to the limited world of the 2000....but you'll get used to it; why did you sell your 2500 anyway??

i was gonna suggest this, but it's nothing like the 2500's Mute Groups.
