Im not sure if im doing this the correct way.....

seq 01

trk1 - kick
trk2 - snr
ext........

all under one seq......now i want to record this into a song but with "trks" muted when i want to make up the intro and hook and whatever....how do you record this into a performance or whatever you call it....or if there is a different way to record then holla back.....

peace........

copy seq 1 to other sequences, then mute the tracks u want on each sequence. from there, press, MODE>SONG and line up the sequences in the order u want them.

Yeah, it sucks that you can't do it this way.
I think this is the main weakness of the 1000.
Making songs would be 20x faster and I wouldn't have to use up all my memory slots for copies of the same sequence.

i think it can be done using an external sequencer, be it hard or software, its not a real answer to your question but perhaps it works for you......

Could always be done while recording (to comp) just using the same sequence and using the Track mute screen... takes a bit of live playing skill but works great for the subtle changes....

or u can repeat the same sequence in song mode and convert it to a sequence.. and then in step edit just select batches between the bars u wanted muted and delete em.. (eg u want the drums dropped in a 4 bar intro.. delete all drums from bars 1 - 5).. just some ideas...

it is a weakness but there are some fast work arounds.. just needa get used to em..
