best way to transport vinyl when moving

so, i'm moving across country in the next couple months and got wondering

what the hell to do with this vinyl

i want to take it with me wherever i end up, but don't want to pay some extravagant price to ship them or whatever.

if you know any cheap and effective methods of moving all these records, let me know

Packing it in a rental van maybe, and driving it out there. Gas would be redonk though.

Maybe think about consolidating down to your prime 100-200 records then selling off the rest, and using the profits to re-acquire your run of the mill, million pressing records that you'd sold.
